Homeschool benefits: Juneau Borough School District
HomeBRIDGE, the Juneau School District's homeschool program, gives each full-time student a 2026-27 allotment of $2,600 for grades K-8 or $3,000 for high school. Your child must be registered, meet with an advisory teacher, and be transferred to HomeBRIDGE by October 23, 2026 to get it.
Who qualifies
Homeschools full time
Enrolling means you plan to fully homeschool your child through HomeBRIDGE. Students staying at their neighborhood school for most classes should go through the school counselor instead.
Takes four HomeBRIDGE courses
The full allotment requires at least four courses with HomeBRIDGE, half of them core. Three courses with HomeBRIDGE earn 75%.
Completes enrollment by October 23
Registration, the HomeBRIDGE Agreement, the advisory teacher meeting, and the PowerSchool transfer must all be done by Friday, October 23, 2026.
Has an ILP
You build an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) with your advisory teacher; high school students also file a course form signed by their counselor.

Good to know
Your child enrolls full time to get the allotment
HomeBRIDGE is the Juneau School District's homeschool program, so your child enrolls there full time and you teach at home with an advisory teacher.
Your child can take some neighborhood school classes
Grades K-6 can spend up to 90 minutes a day at the neighborhood school, and grades 7-12 can take two classes with no reduction. A third class cuts the allotment by 25%, and more than three ends it.
You can enroll late, but without an allotment
Students who enroll after the count date get no allotment. They can still use HomeBRIDGE services and limited district curriculum, paying for classes themselves.

Questions parents ask
- Does the computer we buy belong to us?
- Yes. Devices bought through the technology purchase assistance program become the student's property. The reimbursement is processed no earlier than November 15 and only for students enrolled through October.
- Can we move money between siblings?
- Sometimes. Families can request a transfer of current-year funds between siblings in good standing, and the principal decides case by case.
