What your result shows
Your result lists what your state requires in the order it comes up: whether and when to notify your district, the subjects to teach, the records to keep, and any testing or evaluation. Then it lists what your state does not require, so you don't do work nobody asked for, and links each rule to its official source. The state's full guide adds situations such as starting midyear and returning to school.
We ask for a grade because some rules apply only in certain grades, such as testing years. The result still shows the rules for every grade, so none that applies to your child is hidden.
Before you withdraw your child, or move
Start with the notice and withdrawal rules, which the result lists first. Some states want notice before instruction begins: North Carolina, for example, asks for it at least five business days before. Others, such as Texas, ask for no notice at all.
If you move, your new state's rules apply once you live there, so check that state as soon as you arrive. Some states require a new notice even when you only change districts or counties.
FAQ
- Do I need a learner account?
- No learner account is needed or created. The form saves your name and email with the tool request. If you have already saved them or signed in, you do not enter them again.
The teaching and the paperwork, handled
School in a Box, our full-curriculum plan, teaches every core subject and electives starting at your child's level and grades each reading check and project as soon as it is submitted. Attendance comes from each day's check-in, and we draft the withdrawal letter, attendance log, transcript, and diploma from that record, ready to sign.
$149/month per child after the trial.
