Homeschool benefits and savings in Sandpoint

Sandpoint Parks and Recreation's Youth Scholarship pays the fee for City-sponsored youth programs when your family needs help: at online checkout you check the scholarship box and pay $0 or whatever part you can. The policy updated February 5, 2026 sets no per-child maximum while funds last, though the city's policies page still lists $250 a child each year.

Who qualifies

  1. Joins a city youth program

The fund pays only City-sponsored youth program fees, such as recreation, educational, and cultural programs run by the city.

  2. Indicates need at checkout

Eligibility is set when you check the scholarship box during online registration. The policy asks for no income proof or school enrollment.

  3. Registers through WebTrac

A parent or legal guardian creates or logs in to a WebTrac account, adds each child, and adds the program to the cart.

  4. Applies while funds remain

Awards are first come, first served until the fund runs out, and staff may close the program or add caps if funds run low.

What it is worth

These terms come from the City of Sandpoint Youth Scholarship Policy, last updated February 5, 2026, and the Parks and Recreation policies page.
