Homeschool benefits and savings in Tulsa
The Tulsa Parks scholarship cuts youth sports registration to $25 per child and takes 50% off gymnastics classes, and it can also be used for day camps. City of Tulsa residents with children ages 1-17 apply once per family, with no school enrollment requirement, but the 2026 application window closed September 10, 2026.

The application asks for a benefits approval letter along with the utility bill. Tulsa Parks keeps these documents confidential.

Good to know
Homeschooled children can get the scholarship
Eligibility depends on living in the City of Tulsa and the child's age, and the application does not ask for a school. Include your homeschooled children on your family's single application.
The 2026 window closed September 10
You cannot apply through the 2026 listing. Its enrollment window closed September 10, 2026, and the page does not yet show dates for 2027, so call 918-405-4591 to ask when the next window opens.
Approval lasts one year from your application date
An earlier approval is still good for one year from the date you applied. To use it for another camp or sport, call or enroll in person.

Homeschool rules and statewide help in Oklahoma
Oklahoma law does not require a homeschool filing. The state education department recommends notifying the school when withdrawing a student; that recommendation is not a statutory approval process.
Oklahoma sets these rules:
- Subjects: Instruction should cover reading, writing, mathematics, science, citizenship, the U.S. Constitution, health, safety, physical education, and conservation.
- Testing: Oklahoma does not require a statewide standardized test for homeschoolers.
- Records: No routine state submission is required; attendance and work records are prudent evidence that instruction is being provided.
- Teachers: No state homeschool-parent credential is required.
