Homeschool benefits and savings in Tulsa County
Tulsa Achieves pays up to 100% of the tuition and mandatory fees left after grants at Tulsa Community College (TCC), for up to 63 credit hours or three years, which is $7,342.65 of tuition at the 2026-27 rate. Homeschooled seniors who live in Tulsa County, graduate with at least a 2.0 GPA, and start at TCC the fall after graduation qualify.
Who qualifies
Senior living in Tulsa County
Public, private, and homeschooled seniors who live in Tulsa County are eligible, and only seniors graduating in the current school year can apply. The share TCC covers depends on how many high school years your family lived in the county.
Graduates with a 2.0 GPA
Your student needs at least a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, shown on a final transcript with the graduation date and unweighted GPA.
Starts at TCC that fall
Your student must enroll at TCC the fall after high school graduation and be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
Files the FAFSA each year
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required every year, because grants are applied to the bill before Tulsa Achieves pays.
What it is worth
TCC charges Oklahoma residents $116.55 per credit hour in tuition for 2026-27, and Tulsa Achieves can also cover mandatory per-hour fees on top of that.

Good to know
Homeschooled seniors in Tulsa County are eligible
TCC says any graduating senior who lives in Tulsa County, whether public, private, or homeschooled, is eligible. Your student still has to meet the GPA, FAFSA, and fall enrollment rules.
Non-accredited graduates use test scores for placement
Accreditation changes placement. Graduates of accredited high schools can use their GPA for course placement, while graduates of non-accredited schools submit ACT or SAT scores, take the Accuplacer test, or both.
Late movers qualify at a reduced share
Funding is prorated by the high school years lived in the county, from 100% for all four years down to 25% for senior year only.
Dual credit hours do not count toward the 63
TCC credit hours earned through dual credit do not count toward the 63-hour limit, so your student can enter TCC with credits already done.

Homeschool rules and statewide help in Oklahoma
Oklahoma law does not require a homeschool filing. The state education department recommends notifying the school when withdrawing a student; that recommendation is not a statutory approval process.
Oklahoma sets these rules:
- Subjects: Instruction should cover reading, writing, mathematics, science, citizenship, the U.S. Constitution, health, safety, physical education, and conservation.
- Testing: Oklahoma does not require a statewide standardized test for homeschoolers.
- Records: No routine state submission is required; attendance and work records are prudent evidence that instruction is being provided.
- Teachers: No state homeschool-parent credential is required.
