Homeschool Tax Deductions and Credits in Hawaii
No. Hawaii has no homeschool tax credit, deduction, education savings account, or voucher. What the state does provide is free testing at the local public school and special education services.
What the state does provide
Hawaii's homeschool rules require test scores from a nationally normed standardized test in grades 3, 5, 8, and 10. You can ask for your child to take the Smarter Balanced Assessment and the Hawaii State Assessment (HSA) Science test, or the HSA Alternate assessments, at the local public school at no cost, or arrange private testing at your own expense. Public school students are now tested in grade 11, not grade 10.
Special education is the other service the state provides. Services required by law are made available at the home public school to a homeschooled child who has been evaluated and certified as needing them and who asks for them.

Applying and paying
First step
Ask your home public school for its testing dates if your child is in a grade that needs scores.
What you still pay
Curriculum, materials, private tests, and activities come out of the family budget.
Teaching that takes the work off you
We teach every subject starting at your child's level, grade the work as it is submitted, and keep the attendance, grades, and transcript, so homeschooling asks less of your time.
$149/month per child after the trial.
